Amy qualified as a solicitor in March 2021 and is currently based at our Bishop Auckland Office.
Amy has gained experience working alongside our family department dealing with a variety of issues including negotiating agreements in respect of children arrangements and representing clients in Court for Child Arrangements Orders. Amy also deals with cases where domestic violence is an issue and has made applications to Court on behalf of clients for Non-Molestation Orders. Whilst working with the family team, Amy has provided advice and assistance for clients who have meetings with the Local Authority in respect of children and those who are going through divorce proceedings.
More recently, Amy has been working alongside our Conveyancing department dealing with property sales, purchases and transfers of equity. Amy has dealt with both registered and unregistered land, new build properties and Leasehold properties.
Whilst undergoing her Training Contract Amy has become an Accredited Police Station Representative regularly attending police stations to provide advice and assistance to clients in custody or who are attending an interview as a volunteer. Amy has also assisted Counsel in preparing cases for Trial in the Crown Court and has experience in taking witness statements from defendants and witnesses.
