Our Bishop Auckland office provides a wide range of legal services including criminal, family and property law. We offer a professional, efficient service and our staff are always approachable and happy to help. We carry out both private and legal aid work and offer a free initial consultation.
In 1999 Meikles amalgamated with the well-established firm of Hardesty Elleanor. Our office is located in the heart of the town centre and is easily accessible with good transport links to the surrounding areas. Home visits can be arranged for clients who are unable to get to the office.
Andrew Clinton LL.B (Partner) qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and joined the firm as a Partner in 2001. Andrew is a court and police station duty solicitor and specialises in all aspects of criminal law.
Lynne Simpson LL.B (Partner) started out with the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 1997, qualifying in 1999 and has been a partner since 2004. Lynne deals with all aspects of family law including separation, divorce, domestic violence, children issues and financial matters. Lynne is a member of Resolution and has extensive experience in dealing with civil disputes.
Zoe Passfield LL.B specialises in criminal law and has almost 15 years experience in that field. Zoe initially practised in South London before returning to the North East, joining Meikles in 2006. Zoe holds Higher Rights of audience in Criminal Courts. Zoe is also a court and police station duty solicitor.
Linda Sayers F. Inst. L. Ex started her career in 1983, initially as a legal secretary at our Spennymoor Office. After qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999 Linda moved to our Bishop Auckland office. Linda specialises in property work including the preparation of Home Information Packs and is experienced in the preparation of wills and the administration of estates.
Gemma Hopkins LL.B is a Trainee Solicitor on course to qualify January 2010. Gemma has a particular interest in family, crime and employment law with wide experience of domestic violence and children issues. Gemma is a member of the Police Station Representatives Accreditation Scheme.
